Trips Grades

Easy
On this easy trip, those who are in good health will enjoy a himalayan treks the treks still involve walking up and down hills. However, on well-defined trail and with trekking days that rarely exceeds 5to 6 hours or more than 10 kilometers per day. Altitudes will not exceed than 3500mt.

Moderate
Those who are in good health who exercise regularly and are prepared for high altitudes. Trekking may involve walking up to 7 hours traveling between 6 and 15 kilometers, over hilly terrain on well-defined trails. Altitudes will up to 4000 meters. These trips involve camping or lodge stays pf up to three weeks

Challenging/Strenuous
A high level of physical preparation is essential, as you will be walking up to 8 hours per day. Sometimes on small tracks, altitudes will often exceed 4000meters, with some days spent trekking above 5000meters. These trips involve camping up to three weeks and sometimes longer.

Mountaineering
Theses are challenging treks, which include basic mountaineering above the snowline, using ice axe, crampons and ropes, under supervision and instruction from the trek leader. These trips require a high level of psychological and physical stamina. Prior trekking experience is certainly an advantage, though not essential

A NORMAL TREKKING DAYS
A trekking day generally follows a pattern although this may alter dramatically on day when you are crossing a pass or climbing a peak or when the itinerary has had to be altered for local conditions.

6.30 am Woken with a cup of tea in your tent. Soon after, a bowl of warm water for washing will arrive

7.00 am Breakfast is served, breakfast usually consist of local bread or toast, cereal, eggs spreads and tea/coffee

7.30 - 8.00 am Begin, the morning walk which usually lasts for about 4 hours.

Noon Break for lunch. Lunch is generally local breads, cheese, and a hot vegetable dish cold meat and drinks tea/ coffee

1.30 - 2.00 pm Resume walking for 3 to 4 hours to the night's camp. Afternoon tae will be serve soon after you reach camp and then you can relax, explore the area or play volleyball or Frisbee until the porters arrive, the tent are pitched and night begins to close in

6 - 6.30 pm Dinner is served in the mess tent. The evening meal is most substantial, usually three course commencing with soup then meal and vegetables, rice and or potatoes followed by tinned or fresh fruits or there dessert and, finally tea coffee and hot chocolate.

Most people are snug in their sleeping bags by 9 pm, but night owls are free to use the mess tent for the evening to read recount the trail tales of the day and there are always plenty!
